Lewis JohnsonI've been using Fred's for most of my motoring life, and while they are not the cheapest, they are cheaper than any dealers garage. Also they are fully vat-registered and all the rest of that above-board stuff, so you can use them for your servicing and still keep manufacturers warranties etc etc.
I've had a few 'freebies' from them when I've taken the car in with a fault so small they weren't worried about charging (loose exhaust heat-cover for example), and for the rest of the jobs they are good at being up-front with the cost before they start the work.
David BurtonIts tricky recommending a car dealer but no difficulty here- after travelling a 100 miles a couple of weeks ago to wrap up a deal made over the phone and made easy by salesman Colin. He was as good as his word and a gent, he couldnt do enough to make the transaction easy. I would definitely use again and recommend to anyone thinking of buying.

Mel FrenchPicked up an extensive dent on the rear offside door of my Mondeo a couple of months ago. No idea of where or when. No one owned up!!
What to do? Checked up on bodywork repairs but since the paintwork had not been damaged, I began exploring the possibility of a paintless dent repair. Not with any real hope because although the paintwork was not scratched or broken, the dent was long and I thought the job would be just too difficult, too complicated.
I knew that Fred Henderson enjoyed a very good reputation in the world of garage repairs but never realised they undertook dent repairs. So, I called in at Langley Moor, met David and got him to give me his opinion about what was possible. And I am pleased I did. When he told me that 'he loved the sort challenge my car offered', I booked it in straight away.
First class reception, first class service and a first class repair. I was delighted and in great admiration of the skill that David possessed and had put into the repair.
So what extensive dent am I talking about? Well, it is hard to believe there ever was one. I usually handwash the car and when i did I failed to find a single trace of a crease or mark on the door. Really a perfect job.
Maximum satisfaction and now a maximum recommendation from me.
Rob RacoI took my new car to Fred Henderson to ask about removing a dent that appeared on my brand new car. Obviously I was devestated about it. I had massive reservations about paintless dent removal but because I needed to keep my paint waranty and I didn't want to go through insurance or pay outright to the manufacturer approved paint shop I gave them a try. I also didn't want my new car painted.
I reluctantly handed over my keys and went away. About 2 1/2 hours later I had a call saying my car was ready.
I really couldn't believe it. Completely like new. I'm keep looking at it each day but the work was so good I still can't believe it. Top Job Thanks!!

On the day of delivery I got picked up from Durham train st had a small issue with payment but they were very patient the whole experience was just spot on. I was looked after by a guy call STEVE highly recommended and I wouldn't think twice to travel 100 miles again to do business with these guys. Keep up the good work.
Peter TooleThe aluminum bonnet on my Mercedes was left badly dented & scuffed after Durham Council's trade waste team forgot to apply the brakes on a large wheelie bin which careered into the car on a windy day. I took it to Fred Henderson Ltd in Durham hoping it was possible to fix. I was dealt with by David, who was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and really friendly. The work was done within three hours with fantastic results. Great service, great results and all for a very good price. I will recommend them to anyone needing body work or garage services. 10/10.

John RobinsonI hope this is the Fred Henderson that came to my rescue on Saturday morning 6th June 2015 at Morrisons Supermarket Bishop Auckland when I discovered I had a flat tyre, I'm disabled and was anxious as I was several miles away from home. I rang to report the incident and was told a garage would contact shortly. Within minutes Mr Henderson rang me and from that point on the service provided was excellent, I was telephoned to keep me up to date with developments and the man that came to change my tyre was both professional and efficient, and lovely with it too!
Society is very quick to complain when we get bad service, it should work the same way when we receive service that is excellent and goes way and above the service that is expected, Thank you very much, the service you gave me was excellent.
