Visiting family in Durham from Cardiff. Car broke down on A167 mid afternoon. Hendersons responded to call out within 20 minutes and quickly ascertained that the driveshaft had snapped and promised to indicate costs of replacing 9.00 following morning. Costs (very reasonable) confirmed at promised time, replacement part obtained by them. Part fitted, detailed invoice in accordance with their quotation collected together with vehicle before lunch and back on the road in under 24 hours from breakdown. All this done with full information given both promptly and politely. Fantastic service.

Exemplary service, every time we use this garage - very professional, yet friendly and always giving the impression of being on the customer's side. Work is explained clearly (nearly always by the workshop manager himself, who goes to great lengths to be available by phone when a customer calls), and nothing is done without consideration to the cost. The work itself is always carried out quickly and well. The recovery side of the business, although I have only needed it a handful of times, also seems to work like clockwork. A model for how many other businesses - both in and out of the motor trade - could and should be run.

The Guys at Fred Hendersons are fantastic - and honest. I've taken my car to them several times. Once with a "funny noise" with the gears. They took it out for a drive, explained what the problem was... then went on to explain that it would cost a fortune to fix, and that it's not necessary. They said it is perfectly safe as it is. This was great - I know v. little about cars. They could have said it's dangerous and will cost hundreds to fix, and I'd have been non-the wiser. As a result, I've been back several times, and recommend them to everyone I know.
